Self contentment and Self esteem

Friends! The basis of securing self esteem is giving respect to others. This can be easily made clear by the following example.
Whenever we make any sound while sitting in a building having a dome ceiling, we hear the echo of the same sound which only we had produced seconds ago. Another remarkable example is, when we have a look in the mirror we see our own reflection, whether ordinary or beautiful. The above two cases precisely explain that we get back what we give. If we respect others we shall be respected by them and when we nurture the intentions of love and compassion for others in our hearts we are sure to receive the same from all our fellow beings.
All of us aspire to be loved by others, but none of us try to ascertain as to what shall be done by us in order to experience such a heavenly bliss. All of us have to pay a price for whatever we intend to acquire. Therefore, we should be ready and eager to pay through prompt fulfilment of our duties, rightful conduct and amicable behavior. This way we shall never fail to earn self contentment, internal pleasure and thereby procuring well deserved selfesteem.
